As reported in Variety, Bus 657 has wrapped production in Mobile, Alabama. Academy Award winner Robert De Niro stars in the action thriller with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Dave Bautista, Kate Bosworth, Morris Chestnut, Gina Carano, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, DB Sweeney and Lydia Hull.
Randall Emmett and George Furla of Emmett/Furla Oasis Films produced Bus 657, which centers on a desperate man named Vaughn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who teams with a psychotic co-worker (Dave Bautista) to rob the casino where they work. The robbery goes spectaularly wrong, and the men flee the bullet-riddled scene of the crime and hijack a commuter bus. But as the police and the casino owner (Robert De Niro) close in and the bus rumbles on, it becomes increasingly clear that the hijacking is a part of a more elaborate plan.
Scott Mann directs the twisty, exciting action extravaganza, which he describes as “The Inside Man meets Dog Day Afternoon — on Speed.”
